Rachel is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and fulfilling her practicum as a supervised therapist at CMAP Health. She has a keen interest and curiosity about how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours impact our lived experience and considers it intrinsically linked to our overall health and wellbeing. She strongly believes in meeting the unique needs of the client, drawing mostly from an evidenced-based cognitive behavioural approach, and establishing a warm space where the client feels seen and empowered to foster the change they wish to see in their lives. This comes from the recognition that we all get stuck and need help sometimes, but every individual has the skills necessary to live a life of meaning and positive change through the collaboration and support of a non-judgmental therapeutic relationship. Rachel is particularly interested in helping people process depression and health-related anxieties caused by chronic conditions, insomnia, interpersonal struggles, and processing unresolved trauma. She values the opportunity to grow and learn from the multidisciplinary team at CMAP Health and work towards her Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) training through Unified CBT Academy.
